About us

Paradox Kennels is a small, private breeding kennel specializing in Australian Shepherds. We are situated on 50 acres of beautiful countryside in Western Massachusetts. We are proud to have earned the designations of Hall of Fame Kennel from the Australian Shepherd Club of America and Hall of Fame Breeder from the United States Australian Shepherd Association. We have been active in the breed since 1988.

        Our focus in breeding Australian Shepherds is on producing sensible, healthy, balanced and moderate dogs that are well suited for their primary job as companions. Although our dogs have been successful in many areas of competition it has become clear to us over the years that the most relevant job the Aussie has nowadays is that of companion. It is at this work that we hope they will excel.

        To that end, Paradox puppies are born in our home and raised with children, other dogs, lots of fresh air, exercise and clear limits. One of the most important parts of facilitating a good match between puppy and potential owner is taking the time to get to know both our pups and our clients, therefore we strongly encourage visits to our kennel.
